Health and medical
Facebook and Instagram ads for injectables, laser treatments, facials and body contouring, built within Meta’s strict health and cosmetic rules.
Med spas are one of the most natural fits for Instagram and Facebook: the services are visual, aspirational and repeat purchases. A client who books Botox today may come back every few months for years.
They are also one of the most heavily policed categories. Meta restricts body-shaming language, idealized before and after imagery and some weight-loss claims, and many med spa accounts are limited in what conversion data they can send. Building creative and tracking within those rules is the difference between steady bookings and constant rejections.
Since early 2025, Meta has restricted many health and wellness advertisers from sharing or optimizing for lower-funnel conversion events such as bookings or purchases. If your account is affected, Events Manager will show a notice. Campaigns can still work well, but they rely more on permitted events, lead form optimization and strong creative. I check your restriction status before planning.
Botox and filler campaigns with first-visit offers and membership follow-up, written to comply with Meta cosmetic policies.
Hair removal, resurfacing and skin treatment campaigns.
Recurring revenue campaigns.
Holiday and event timing.
Past visitors and lapsed clients.
Avoid language that implies negative self-perception, such as “Tired of your wrinkles?” Meta also restricts certain before and after content and weight-loss claims, and prescription drug promotion requires authorization.
I manage both, so here is an honest view of where each channel fits.
| Facebook & Instagram | Google Ads | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Visual demand and repeat clients | People searching specific treatments |
| Lead type | Bookings | Inquiries |
| Policy risk | High, needs careful creative | Moderate |
| Cost | Lower | Higher |
Customer value, service area, capacity and what you have tried before.
Meta Pixel, Conversions API and lead quality feedback, configured within health and wellness data restrictions.
Built around “first treatment offer” or a better offer for your market.
Weekly changes based on cost per qualified lead, not clicks.
Plain-English monthly reporting and next steps.
Common reasons include body-shaming language, before and after images and implied personal attributes. Rewriting within policy usually fixes it.
Prescription drug and weight-loss advertising is tightly restricted and may require Meta authorization. I review your offer before building ads.
With membership offers and retargeting after the first visit.
For most local businesses I suggest starting at roughly $1,500 to $2,000 a month in ad spend for one main offer, adjusted for your market size and customer value. Management is a separate flat fee.
Send me your website and where you are now. I will look at your account or plan personally and tell you what I would fix first, even if the answer is that Facebook Ads is not your next step.
