Facebook Ad Creative and Copywriting That Stops the Scroll

On Meta, creative is the targeting. I write the hooks, scripts and copy and plan the visuals that decide who stops, who clicks and who books.

  • Hooks firstThe first two seconds decide everything
  • TestedNew concepts on a schedule
  • Policy safeWritten within Meta ad rules

Why creative matters more than ever

Meta’s delivery system now does much of the audience finding on its own, especially with broad and Advantage+ audiences. That shifts the job of choosing who sees your ad onto the ad itself. A video that opens with “Homeowners in Phoenix, your AC bill is about to jump” finds a different crowd than a generic logo animation.

For local businesses, the strongest creative is usually specific, local and real: your crew on a roof, your hygienist explaining an aligner, a client’s finished kitchen, your own face explaining an offer.

What I produce or brief

  • Hook lines and opening frames for video
  • Short scripts for 15 to 45 second Reels and feed videos
  • Static image and carousel concepts with on-image text
  • Primary text, headlines and descriptions in several lengths
  • Shot lists you can film on a phone
  • Variations for testing angles, offers and formats

Creative fatigue in local markets

A local audience is small, so the same people see your ads repeatedly. When frequency climbs and click-through falls, cost per lead rises. I track these signals and introduce new concepts before performance drops, not after.

Angles that work locally

  • Local proof: neighborhoods, landmarks, weather
  • The owner talking to camera
  • Before and after, where allowed
  • Myth versus fact
  • Price transparency
  • Seasonal urgency

Frequently asked questions

Do you film the videos?

I work remotely, so I write scripts and shot lists that you or a local videographer can film, then edit direction and copy. Phone video is often enough.

Can you use AI-generated images?

Sometimes for backgrounds or concepts, but for local services real photos of your work and team build more trust and usually perform better.

How often should ads be refreshed?

It depends on budget and audience size. Many local accounts need new creative every two to four weeks.
